FAQ
What is KidKind?
KidKind is a gentle, no-rinse hand cleansing mist made for toddlers and young children. It’s designed for the moments when soap and water aren’t available — before snacks, after the playground, in the car, at restaurants. Alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and gentle enough for frequent daily use.
What is HOCl and is it safe?
HOCl stands for hypochlorous acid — the same molecule your immune system naturally produces to fight germs. It works by disrupting the cell membranes of bacteria and pathogens, neutralizing them on contact. Effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria and viruses — without alcohol, harsh chemicals, or fragrance.
It’s been used in wound care, eye drops, and food sanitation for years. Gentle enough for sensitive skin. Effective enough to trust.
How is KidKind different from hand sanitizer?
Traditional hand sanitizers use alcohol as the active ingredient. Alcohol is effective but harsh — it dries skin, stings cuts, and isn’t ideal for frequent use on little hands that go straight in their mouths. KidKind uses HOCl instead. No alcohol. No harsh ingredients. Just clean.
How is it different from baby wipes?
Baby wipes were designed to clean messes — not sanitize hands. According to the CDC, wipes are not designed to remove germs from hands. KidKind is specifically formulated as a hand cleanser.
How do I use it?
Spray generously onto hands. Rub together to coat all surfaces. Allow to air dry. No rinsing needed. For visible dirt, wipe with a clean cloth after spraying.
How often can I use it?
As often as needed. KidKind is formulated for frequent daily use and is gentle enough to use multiple times a day without drying out skin.
What are the ingredients?
Water, Hypochlorous Acid, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Phosphate. That’s it. No alcohol. No fragrance. No harsh additives.
Is it safe if my child puts their hands in their mouth?
KidKind contains no alcohol, no fragrance, and no harsh chemicals. HOCl is FDA approved for use in food processing and on food contact surfaces — including fresh produce and meat — and has been determined safe for incidental food contact.
Unlike alcohol-based sanitizers, we made KidKind with ingredients that reflect how toddlers actually use their hands.
As with any product, KidKind is intended for external use only. But for the moments when little hands go straight from clean to mouth — we made sure the ingredients reflected that reality.
Does it have a smell?
KidKind is fragrance-free. Some users notice a very subtle, clean scent from the HOCl formula that dissipates quickly after application.
Where should I store it?
Store at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
